Quick ECU question (M2, Pettit)

Im looking to buy a used M2 or Pettit ECU off people on this site.
I only have intake, dp, exhaust.
The ones Im looking at have 5-6 mods, will my car run crazy becuase the setting for the ECU are going to be for a more modded car? Or will the ECU adjust accordingly?

The ECU on an FD can't adjust for changes in flow...that's the whole reason ECUs are needed for cars with relatively mild mods. Do a search on speed density I'm sure something will come up that saves me the trouble of rambling on for hours about it :-) That said, I would think a Pettit or M2 ECU would be OK with your mods. My car is roughly similar, and the Pettit ECU makes it a bit rich but not ridiculously so.

I dont think you understand the question.
Yes I know how the chipped ECU works.
But I just wanted to know if its chipped for : intake, dp, mp, IC, exhaust and my car only has :intake, dp, exhaust, how will it work?
Ive been told it will work, just that the computer will cause it to run a bit rich.
thanks anways.

Did you bother to read past my first sentence? Here's another chance: "That said, I would think a Pettit or M2 ECU would be OK with your mods. My car is roughly similar, and the Pettit ECU makes it a bit rich but not ridiculously so." You then asked if the ECU will adjust for different mods. Maybe that was just poor word choice, but it seemed to indicate to me that you did not in fact understand how the stock (or chipped, same difference) ECU operates. It can't adjust for changes to the flow! Hence my reply.
