Ok guys, i have been working on my 88 TII for years and i have finally got her ready but I have a few questions please.

I'm currently running a new motor using 3mm apex seals, full street port, GReddy Type R BOV, 3 row Intercooler and 500 primary/720 secondaries.

What EMS should I run? I've spent hours reading and nobody seems to have run both of them. It seems to me that I'm only hearing things from one side of the fence. From what i gather the microtech is easier to tune, but the haltech is more advanced and not user friendly.

Can i get some reliable on this so i can make a better decision my final outcome? I plan on making this an 11 second street car. If It helps any I plan on these future mods - 1600 secondaries, fuel cut defender, full racing beat exhaust, and likely going with a t66 or t78.

One time, my "." button was broken too. It made me look like a dumbass that couldn't ask a question properly. In the end, no one knew what I was talking about, so I had to throw on another keyboard to properly type the question.

Why don't you fuck with the program yourself and make your own conclusion?

Haltech -> http://www.haltech.com/
Microtech -> http://www.microtechefi.com/

IME, anyone who claims the Haltech is too hard to figure out is either lying or pretty damn stupid.

Haltech proggies can be messed with without the ECU.
Microtech needs the dongle / ECU to make theirs work - go blame Microtech, not me. :P

Also, this Is a question(s) that Is asked quite often. Refine your search for better results. Good luck.

Okay here:

TII running a T-66, what EMS?

On the subject of 1680 secondaries

These are just a few.

*Just to add my disclaimer* I really think you should acquaint yourself with all the EMS' you have In mind. Learn them good and understand that a local tuner, whom you trust, Is the one you should be consulting. Unless It's planned to be tuned and maximized to It's fullest capabilities (or simply just ran right, with you being the one tuning this) - you will end up regretting getting one to begin with, IMO.

What do you mean by "both"? There are many EMS brands to choose from. I recommend that you buy one that has local support because your chances of tuning one well on your own is next to zero. See your local rotary engine performance shop and/or EMS dealer. Check with your regional forum if you do not currently know of any EMS dealers in your area:

ok guys i am closing in on a decision although i like the haltek and have ruled out the microteck its looking more like the elactomotive due to the fact that "its what i see and hear works good in my area " due to the tuner any remarks other then the big cost ??

I would absolutely go with the TEC3r if that is what your tuner uses. The only downsides of the TEC3r that I can think of are the high cost and the complexity of the required 60-2 ignition wheel. However, it will definitely be worth paying a little more for something that you can get tuned locally. It is much better to spend a few hours working overtime at your normal job in order to afford better tuning than it is to spend days, weeks, or months being frustrated with an EMS that you try to tune yourself in order to "save money".
