opinions on a f-con for a n/a

i have a 88 n/a with a 91 n/a engine. since the wiring and ecu are all still s4 i now run hella rich and get almost no power.
i know someone selling an fcon for around 50 bucks. any thoughts?
im not really sure if it will fix my problem or not so i would like some input.
thanks

Why not just buy the ECU for a 91 n/a? They can't be any more expensive than that.

Just my opinion.

well the ecu doesnt plug in, you have to change the harness and with that the injectorsa afm omp all the sensors and just about everything else. its not worth it in the long run.

and i would be rough tuning it first then taking it to a dyno

you can't rough tune a car, at least not with enough precision to be useful, without some kind of wideband, be it an onboard one or a tailpipe one supplied by the dyno
