opinion question towards the AEM EMS.
i just wanted to get you guy's views on the AEM EMS. i looked at the ems forums and its pretty non existant so i went with the next best thing. I'm pretty used to the PFC but the new FD i'm buying *can come with some extra $$ a AEM EMS that will dyno tuned to my specs by the privous owner before i pick the car up. at the price it will be the same as buying a new PFC, paying for gas and dyno time to tune the PFC so i wanted to get your imput. there is a EMS tuner within 10miles of where i live but they mainly deal with honda's... the nearist PFC tuner would be steve "the god" kan or crispeed both around 600miles away ether direction.
the car will be used almost everyday with some track events thrown in there every so often.
just some options and hard facts between the two are needed.
as for mods the car has the usual IC, Intake, DP, hi flow cat, DP with stock turbos and 13k on rebiuld
thanks
Rob

I have NO experience with the AEM in any rotary application so this may or may not be helpful
3 of my friends with fast DSM's run them, and it seems to be a very nice EMS in their application. The software is great, the autotune function works flawlessly and they have never complained about ANY issues with them at all, in fact they're practically the first thing I'd buy to put on one of those if I were to buy one again.

I know one guy who runs it and hates it just because of the typical stand alone ECU issues but other then that it is an awesome ECU but is definetely more geared to Race use and not street use. I was gonna get it but then I went with a PowerFC just because of the conveniance of the Commander and the fact that I'm not aiming for crazy sky high numbers.

Nah, nothing wrong with the EMS, as a matter of fact, I tuned a 3 rotor in the AEM and made descent power. I just don't have a plug and play car to plug and play it with.
