M2 ECU code MM16 - what is it?

OK, a little background. I bought this ECU from Trev Dagley's car, not the wrecked car which was his father's, but his car.

The car it came off of was non-seq with, I believe, open exhaust. Those are all the details that are available to me. I bought it through Jim Labreck, and what he knew about it was that supplementary boost control would be required because this ECU did not incorporate any.

So, I spoke to Brian about it (in person at Watkins Glen) and he said that all of his ECU's have boost control and that I should call him when he's back in CA and he'll look up the specifics for this ECU if I open it up and tell him what code is on it. I have tried this, several times and I can't get a phone or e-mail response out of the guy.

So, bottom line, I have an ECU which has the code MM16 on the chip inside. Does anyone else happen to have the same thing or some knowledge about what I have here? Any help would be appreciated. Obviously, the MM part is from the Mostly Mazda days.

any possibility..

that jimlab's statement of supplementary boost control means just that...
that it requires a supplementary boost control cuz the ecu doesnt control boost too well on its own.....or is limited to a range of boost...

mm16...possibly.... mostly mazda 16bit or 16 out of xx
just a stab
