I purchased a pettit unlimited ecu from a fellow member on this forum, when i had it installed i noticed that the ecu was giving me below normal boost patterns, the boost pattern was like 7-5-5-5. I took it down to my shop and put back the stock ecu and the problem was resolved with normal boost pattern. Now i installed the other Pettit ecu that the shop had and the boost was better than normal. So i opened up that pettit ecu and compared it to this so called pettit unlimited ecu and noticed that the chips and everything were the same accept that on the shops pettit that worked good in my car had labels that were computer printed on the white stickers that were on the chips. Where as on the computer that i purchased from this guy had white stickers on the chips but had a format on the white stickers with lines to write, anyway the writing on these stickers werent computer printed but were done by hand. Does it seem that these chips were copied? what do you guys think? can this computer that i recieved may have been installed wrong? the guy said it worked wonders in his car but in my car its giving me lower boost? sounds like its copied to me because that usually what happens when you copy from a chip because not everything get copied properly, just like a cd, you copy it onto another cd from the original and sometimes on the copied cds you will get a glich. So whats your guys opinion, was this ecu copied? installed wrong or what, I have asked this fellow member for a full refund.
