hi,
can anyone help me to understand how to connect the lc1 and the xd16 to pc?
1)i have the following setup without the pc:

plug---><----serial in --LC1--serial out---><---serial in --xd16--serial out---> free to air

2)with the pc???

plug---><----serial in --LC1--serial out---><---serial in --xd16--serial out---> to pc?

i connect both the xd 16 and lc1 to the pc or one at a time to program it?

the xd16 manual sayes:
"5.2. Connecting the XD-16 device to the computer
1. Connect the Serial OUT connection with the included 2.5mm stereo to DB-9 cable to a serial port on your
laptop.
2. Connect the terminator plug (2.5mm male plug with no cable) into the Serial IN connection of the XD-16."

BUT the "serial in" of the xd16 is connected to the LC1. i must disconnect it and put the plug?

disconnect it from the LC1. I think I actually configured my XD-16 on the bench, out of the car. I just used a 12 volt battery to power it up while it was hooked to the laptop.

 

hi Arghx,
since the guge will be on the car it would be dificoult to have acces to the wires.
i am installing the wires for now and i wanted to know how to do it with the minimum dificulty in programing both the lc1 and the xd16.
