Its all a matter of $$

So whats the budget here?

You can buy a used piggyback (PFS/EFI purple box) for around $500

Or possibly a Apexi SAFC, Greedy E-Manage.

Other than that its either a Haltech, or AEM EMS (both $1200+)

i would like to keep it as inexpensive as possible, but if possible something easy to retune if i do further mods to the car

i've got my stock ecu off a '94 fd auto i'll sell for $100 if that helps?!?

i went with a power fc/commander, and have had good results.

How do you keep the HOLD features and PROPERLY control TQ Conv. Lockup? - both require communication between the EMS and AUTO ECU to work and my understanding is that the PFC cant provide the proper communication?

yeah id like to know how also, from what i know u cant unless u splice the 2 together. which i dont know of anyone doing this successfully. if so i wouldnt be waiting for the AEM.
