I don't understand any of this

I have a 93 RX-7 in Okinawa Japan. I just installed the PFC and have been told I'm running to hot, the knock is to high, and The temp light comes on to let me know somthings wrong with the settings. I went to a tuning shop and was told it would cost me $500 to have the comp tuned. If anyone can provide how to adjust this thing in barney terms it would be very helpful. I'm an electronics guy in the Marine Corps and have no Idea about rotors. I thought it would be fun to learn and have one (never realized how much it would cost or how hard it would be for me). I saw the maps listed but do not understand them. Could someone please help?

I think you should just pay the $500. You'll end up much happier, and probably better off financially as well, as blown motors are a lot more money than that. Seriously, this is not something barney should be tuning!

Possibly the best thing to do in your case is to look around for a map thats best suited to you. Alot of people post their mods and then their maps for their mods. If you dont know how to install the map just download the Power FC Commander pdf from www.apexi.com. But all in all you would be better off paying someone to tune unless you wanna just insert a map with someone elses car thats similar to yours.
