Question How to identify a Pettit ECU vs Stocker

Yup! I just bought a "Pettit Unlimited ECU" and didn't see an external difference in the boxes. I was told that disconnecting the throttle sensor would not trip the check engine light on the Pettit so I tried that and it came on. Well, now I'm wondering if there is anything else I can check to see if it "still" might be a Pettit.

Thanks

Victor

You can take off the cover....if the large chip (68 pin microcontroller) is soldered to the board, its stock. If its on a daughter board, along with a 28-pin EPROM, its a Pettit or similar ECU.
