help please!!!APEX-i problems

OK. I bought an AVC-R and S-AFC and installed them on Friday. Everything was working fine and we were tuning then when we lost all power. First the AVC-R blinked in and out then the car died. The next day( last night) we went back and tried to figure out what we did wrong. We checked the vacuum hoses and we have no problems. The car won't turn on, and neither do the Apex-i units, the buttons are on dimmly but the screens don't light up. I am lost. The wiring is done right along with the hosing, so at this time I'm stumped. My mechanic buddy unplugged the units and jumped a wire so it is back to "stock" fuel which allows me to drive it. Anyone out there know what it going on. I bought them used off a buddy so I have no receipts. Can anyone help?

Most likely just a wiring problem - flaky ground, poor power to it, etc.

I doubt you fried the units - they're pretty hardy.

The electrical connections all have to be very sound - not just wrap a wire and put some tape over it.
