Haltech questions,Cali emissions

I am in the process of installing a 13bt into my 1st gen. I dont want to go to the trouble of tracking down all of the items to use the factory computer so I would like to use a haltech. I would also like to have the flexability of the haltech. My question is do you think that it is possible for my car to pass tail pipe emissions in California with the haltech properly tuned? Or will it run with poor emissions no mater what I do? This car will be driven a lot at the dragstrip but I would also like to drive it there not trailer it and also drive it somtimes to work. One more thing do you have to have the factory Air flow meter to use the haltech or can I just run without it?

The Haltech ECU is not going to pass the visual inspection if they check your ECU. Other than that, use an O2 sensor, airpump and cat. Those are the only things you need to pass the emmissions testing.

Good luck.
