I have a question, my Rx-7 has an auto tranny do they make MAPS for a particular ECU that would work for my car either piggy back or stand alone no difference, I was looking forward to the Haltech since I hear its a really good ECU. I dont plan to do the tuning on my vehicle, i'll just take it to a local place and get it tuned so the PFC with commander seems to be the wrong way to go for me but please, i am open for comments.

My future plans are to eventually go single with the Greddy T-78, says it gives around 430rwhp at 15psi, and since it requires more fuel i'll need an upgraded fuel system, at what point do I know I have to change out ECU's? right now I currently have a boost leak but from what Ive done people say I should be boosting 12-13psi easy, I heard stock motor can only take 12psi over that and your pushing a blown motor, please comment.

Either or would give you enough support to handle that turbo system.&nbsp The P-FC would be a lot easier to install an tune.&nbsp If you're looking at a real stand-alone ECU (i.e Haltech), I'd suggest a piggy-back install.&nbsp Allow the stock ECU to keep some controls for the auto trans, since the transmission is heavily integrated into the ECU controls.&nbsp A piggy-back install would require serious electrical integration and skills to work properly.

Thanks for comment, the auto tranny is what really messes up the whole plan, i'd like to do a tranny switch but you know how that is.

 

As far as the exhaust leak, I had one too that caused me too lose about 2-3 pounds of boost. It sounded like it was comming from the turbo but my car was idling just fine. I called up RX-7.com and spoke with the owner and he said to reach up from under the car and feel on top of the turbo and I would probably feel the hole from where a bolt came out. Sure ****! It fixed my problem!
