FL Fuel Tech

I am going to go into this and I know that for unknown reasons there is all kind of ECU threads here. Even adaptronics, which has no tech support is on this forum. How many rotary owners run Fuel Tech and would like to see a Fuel Tech thread, similar to all of the other ecu on the forum?

I have Fueltech in my rotary starlet. They have really good customer support and should of been on Rx7 club a while ago.

I totally agree. I wonder who makes the decision on what ecus can be placed for support on the forum.

Why does it get so quiet here when you talk about an ECU other than Haltech.

A Fueltech sub-forum has been brought up a couple times before, but nothing ever happens. It looks like a few people are using them here. I have a FT550 but haven't had the time to install it yet. I got my basemap created and am stalled out on pinning my harness. I have an adapter board that my factory harness will plug into. It came with a molex conector set to pin the harness from the ecu of your choice to plug into it.

This board is a business, and FuelTech doesn’t want to pay for a forum here. That’s the official answer.

Anyone want to buy my FT550? Comes with a CAN keypad, expander, 4 way CAN K Type temp sensor. Even have a Drakes center pod mount for the ECU. Modules only no wiring or sensors.

Made 440+whp on that setup at 18psi.

Local tuner here that I want to use won’t tune FT, only Haltech and Link. Project is getting ever more complicated so in need local support.

Sad

I think its sad that Fuel Tech wont pay a few pennies. On the other hand i always thought the reason for this forum was to support and help owners maintain rotary cars. I did not know this forum was a business.

It’s very much a business, Sponsors like myself, and adds run on the platform keep the forum viable.

I agree it’s a shame FT won’t contribute.

You’re welcome, none of us vendors would exist without you all supporting us, it is greatly appreciated!

I thought that the main brains at Adaptronics is now lead engineer at Haletech? If he was the owner, that would explain the out of business thing.

My understanding is that he was bought out by Haltech and later joined the Haltech team. Haltech is a great computer but I choose Fuel Tech because I have a buddy that does all the wiring harness and tunning in my area for Fuel Tech. I took the car to both DGRR 2024 and 2025. In 2024 it was on Microtech. Microtech worked well and did it's job. This year DGRR I was on Fuel Tech. The car was just more responsive and a bit more streetable on the Fuel Tech. The Fuel Tech gave me more visual data on how everything was working. I won't knock the Microtech, as I ran it for 10 years but I do prefer the Fuel Tech.

Haltech bought Adaptronic out on the basis Andy would become their technical lead and roll compatible fuel model/scope stuff into product and new products like the R series stuff.
