They're 160 LB/hr which equals 1680 cc/min. You want 1680.

Ok...I have these secondary injectors.... 1680cc supposidly. on the grey top there is this number: 0 280 150 842

ok i figured them to be ford...... but the number doesnt match with the above....

on the upper right of the number there is 681 in an enclosed box, and 957 on the injector plug. are they 1600s? or 1680??

Why don't you get them flowbenched to get a real number?

I've heard some of those 160 lb/hr fuel injectors have wild variations on flow rates.
I've heard them flowing as low as 1300 cc/min...

The standard test pressure is 3 Bar (43.5 psi) for injector flow testing.
The results that you get depends in the test fluid.
Most all of them flow in the 1560 - 1600 cc/min range with our test fluid, that is specifically made for this purpose. Shops that use Heptane for testing will get higher results, (higher than with any gasoline, and probably where the 1680cc numbers come from).
Most standard injector test equipment can't accurately test injectors this large.

Thanks Gordon,

But do the 1680cc actually exist? I mean we refer to them as 16 hundreds, fine, but do 1680 injectors actually exist? If I test them at 60 ps, simulating an under boost scenario, will i get a correct figure? wont 60 psi be the pressure at 18psi or so?

Thanks

George
