Question To ECU or not to ECU??....

Alrighty here goes...

I am having rouble getting a clear answer on whether to go to an ECU or not on my 93 Base FD. Figure I'll run it by the smart guys before I make a mistake and possibly throw my money away.

With the following mods..

1.RB intake
2.Downpipe
3.K+N drop in filter
4.I plan on adding a Catback (RB SS duel tip i think).

I am seeing too much boost and hitting fuel cut at higher rpms. This makes me nervous. Makes my mechanic a little nervous, and makes vendors want to sell me fuel/boost control or most commonly an ECU.

Should I just get a boost controller and say **** it? OR is this the time to go with a PFC or something of the ECU sort. I'M NO RACER, and I'm planning to stop at a Cat-back for mods. I just want a fast, streetable ride, with AC, steady idle, and optimum reliability.

Please advise.

if you are only going to be running thoes mods and are not going to mod any further then save the cash and buy the boost controller.
