ECU needed?

I've read that if you upgrade the exhaust flow, intake, or whatever you should get a new ECU and possibly knock sensor, since that puts you in danger of running to lean.

I've got an RX-7 with a few miles on it, which recently got a new exhaust and intake. These were just enough to put it back near the compression levels it woulda had, new. Would it still be prudent to get a new ECU? Or am I safe?

Adding an intake and exhaust will have no effect on the compression of the engine....perhaps you meant boost levels?

As long as you are not boosting over 10 psi, you will be fine on the stock ecu. Please use the search function, these kind of posts occur daily. Thanks.
