ECU help!!

I have a 93 R1, my mods are just some basic things. This is also a jdm motor.
Bridgeport, stock twins, DP, MP, catback, Apexi intake, greddy FMIC, Fluidyne radiator. I know I now need to add fuel to this combo, so my question is, do I have to go full ECU like the PowerFC just yet? Or can I increase my fuel curve with something like the SAFC2? Just curious, I plan to add a fuel pump, pressure regulator, and bigger injectors. Thanks for any help.

I would say the Power FC, but there might be a good tuner near you that prefers a different system (Microtech, Haltech, AEM).

BTW, I seriously doubt you have a bridgeport running on the stock ecu. Streetport maybe. And how are you controlling boost with the midpipe? You are very lucky you haven't blown the engine.

I dont think the SAFC2 works on FDs, someone just sold a brandnew on to my friend because it didnt really do much for his FD. I think SAFC2 are more productive on FCs.... IMO

You could look into having your ecu reflashed to make up for the add ons. I have had it done for WRX's and Hondas, I guess it can be done for RX7's vs. the price for an FC.

The FD ECU is not flashable. To properly reprogram a stock ECU you need to (a) socket the EPROM so you can remove it, and socket the microprocessor so you can put a special daughter card in that adds another EPROM...the daughter card fools the microprocessor into reading from the EPROM rather than its internal ROM. This is exactly what a Pettit or M2 ECU is, in fact.
