Best user friendly EMS for a TII?

I am just wondering what the best engine management system is for the TII that I am going to purchase soon here. Also for whatever one you say is best, can you tell me what size of laptop I will need? Thanks alot.

When buying a used car, it is usually better to hold off on extras for a few months until you are sure that everything else works. It would really be a bummer to spend your last $1,500 on an EMS, and then have the transmission blow. Unless you are piecing together a J-spec engine or something, the stock EMS will work fine with basic mods.

In our area you are only going to get direct support for Haltech and Wolf systems. I recommend the Haltech E6K at this time, as the new Wolf is still untested and has some supply problems in the US. The AEM and TECIII systems look good, but your support would be limited to telephone/email, and they may also have supply and/or operational problems.

I'd recommend the Haltech for various reasons. (I'm not sure if one of those reasons still checks the forum. Hi Scott).

I'm in the process of installing my Haltech that I got from the HITman in Australia. So far, the tech support has been nothing short of AMAZING! It seems like he never sleeps, because usually within an hour or so of posting a question, he has an answer for me.

Also, you can get the entire system from him for $1300 SHIPPED TO YOUR DOOR!! Matt pays for courier delivery from Australia to where ever you are at no cost to you. That price is everyday. . .no group buy needed.

Support is a HUGE factor as Jim has stated. That includes before and after you get the system; NOT just until you send your money.

My personal experience with A certain Wolf dearler has left an insanely bad taste in my mouth. I'm still trying to get things resolved from 2 months ago. He seems to be ignoring any messages, emails, etc. Not the best way to build a reputation, IMO.

To their credit, however, Wolf Australia did everything they could to try and help me. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough.

My $.02
