13b-re no trailing rear spark

I'm attempting to wire a link g4 computer into my jc cosmo. I'm up to the ignition part.

The wasted leading setup seems to be correct, as does the trailing front. However i can't seem to get the trailing rear to fire.

The computer is fine, the ignition3 wire i was going to use will fire the other 2 coilpacks.

If i swap the connections with either of the other 2 coilpacks, the trailing rear coilpack will fire fine, so can't be the coilpack. Tracing the wires from the TR plug to the igniter plug and power source seem fine, same as the other 2 coilpacks.

So i guess either my igniter is stuffed or i'm using the wrong input wire. The jc igniter seems similar to an fd, see - http://www.k2rd.com/haltech/drawings/IG03.pdf

I'm using light green input to fire leading, brown input for trailing front. The diagram suggests the brown/black wire for trailing rear. However the pervious owner when running an aftermarket ecu (i think haltech), appears to have used the brown/white wire. The three wires have been cut and reattached to their stock positions. Also, the brown/white wire is next to the other 2 wires where as the brown/black wire is further away, still on the same plug.

In any case, neither of brown/white or brown/black appear to work when the trigger wire is attached right by the igniter plug (on the harness side not igniter side of the plug).

The previous owner gave me a spare igniter with the car. It cuts out when the plug is wobbled. When it does work, it experiences the same same symptoms.

Any ideas?

Sorted. Is an FC style igniter, seen it mentioned somewhere briefly and forgot that it was. Anyway, apply 5v to brown/white wire for rear trailing spark, ground for front trailing spark.
