Want to buy coilovers, any suggestions?

The thing is... it's drifting. What coilovers you have makes nearly no difference. As long as the car can be really low, and not have too much body movement while drifting, you'll be fine. The spring rates should be balanced to your tastes, so the car doesn't under/oversteer too much. Basically, as long as the coilovers are reliable, and have good spring rates and valving, they will work fine for drifting. That's why many brands are being suggested, as they will all work just fine.

There are other things to look at here. Min/Max height adjustment, serviceability, etc etc.
...quality being number one in my book. regardless of what people are going to read, there is a noticeable difference in quality with these mentioned companies.
Probably wont see too many OBX\SS-AutoChrome coilover setups on too many cars for a few reason but mainly quality.

You're right that we should probably list our opinions more specifically.
I like Stance because they ride relatively well, stay pretty flat when you're cornering, seem to have a well balanced spring rate so the car is pretty neutral, are VERY durable, and go really low. Stance is a US company, so they are easy to deal with.
Lots of other coilover companies also share these attributes, though. Powered by max, for example.
I have had good experiences with Stances. I've beaten mine up a whole bunch, and they work great. They go really really really low, and they work well for drifting.

The biggest thing to look at IMO should be durability.
I had a set of Tein HAs on my S14 that I really really liked, I bought them in 2003 and after I sold my car they changed hands at least once before being sold to a good friend of mine, who is now using them on his S14. No problems at all.
I have JICs on the FC but I can't really say much besides they are very stiff(car has been out of commission for quite a while). The model I have was never sold outside of japan and is discontinued anyhow, so it probably wouldn't help you much. I bought them off ebay japan because they were cheap, and I called JIC USA to ask about service who told me I could use Tokico inserts to rebuild them.

Stance is great. All of their coilovers come with inverted monotubes(depending on vehicle model anyways), which is great.
A lot of other companies offer this for their higher up models, IE, KSport D2, etc etc. Personally I have D2 on my FC and like them just fine. They've been on for about 8 months now and I haven't had a single issue with daily driving or drift events.
I would recommend Ksport and or D2 to anyone. They're relatively cheap and based out of the US, so getting replacement parts or warranty stuff is easy. Ksport is located here in AZ even, and I deal with them on almost a daily basis at my work. They have excellent customer service and a knowledgeable staff.
The same could be said for Stance as well.
