Using surge/breather tanks with v-mounts

How many of you guys have had trouble bleeding your coolant system with a v-mount radiator, and have you been able to fix it with a surge tank?

Just started setting up my radiator yesterday, it's not too crazy of an angle but it's lower than the highest water point on the engine.

Also, forgive my noob status, but I've never messed with a surge tank before. There's obviously a radiator cap on top of the tank, does that become the new filling location or do you still fill it from the radiator fill hole?

I would look into an AST (like the FDs have) or coolant swirl pots (same idea).

This is what I will be using for my Vmount and also how I plan on filling my coolant system.

I bought a rad cap flange and made a custom water neck for the 13b. Its tall and I fill with a spill free tunnel so no air pockets

Cylinder aluminum overflow mounted off the radiator cap. Prety much have 2 caps but leave the radiator one alone

I dont know about 2J water inlet/outlet but if you buy an aluminum radiator cap flange and weld it in you could fill it up there

I had an aluminum bung welded to the top most part of my radiator... then I simply threaded in a copper Radiator Drain. I open it when I'm filling up the coolant until water starts to appear. It works really really well. It also saves a hell of a lot of time.
