This was so cool when there wasn't any vented hoods available in the US, or shipping was too expensive. Most of the time, they look weird/off and 100% need to be molded in.

Too much work, spend the $500 and cop a awesome quality hood from ShineAuto.

mount hood vent from bottom side, and be a BAWS.

DMAX hood is where it's at. the sexy style hood is cool and all, but i'm not trying to cool off my alternator...

im trying to draw the maximum amount of air through all my heat exchangers at the front of my car, and all the air that comes through the front needs to get out of the engine bay some how. i'd rather it not all go under the car and add to the high pressure zone that's already there....

i already have an aluminum sport hood, it cant be that much heavier then a CF.

i was just going to literaly "bolt" mine on and use some two sided gap sealant tape between the hood and the vent....

if you care about how it looks, go with a Shine hood. I have a universal Uras vent, and it fits shitty. the vent is molded for a flat hood, FC hood is spherical, so it kinda smashed the hood flat, and the corners stick up a little.

its a universal vent, of course its going to be "flat" on the mounting edge. thats why body parts that require modification say "professional installation required" you could've ether heated the vent with a high quality heat gun and formed it to match the contour of the stock hood or you could've used some "gasket material" to take up the deviations in space all around the vent.

True that...I have a Chaser Aero BN knockoff, and initial fit was pretty off, the left of the back bumper was all wonked out and ****... but ive put Veilside kits, and Origin kits... both needed a good amount of heat gun work.... Easiest kit I ever did was a Buddy Club, but i think it was a fluke.

Ive never had an issue with Chaser... but i usually just drive there and pull **** off the shelfs, bullshit for half the day, pay cash and get super deals.

Chaser is like a 2 man show and a HUUUUUUGE warehouse... and sometimes a dude putting lambo doors on for some gangster dudes from baltimore, I'd imagine that they get really swamped and backed up sometimes, so the customer service gripe is believable.

They've gotten some really crappy reviews on the bad/ugly section along with no longer being a forum vendor.
