DO NOT GET TOKICO BLUES!!!!

I had them on my old car and..... they suck to say the least. Save a bit more and get quality shocks or coilovers.

The FC right now is sitting on Tein (I hate Tein) drift spec I think (I didnt buy em). I have delrin DTSS elims and rear lca bushings but they havent been installed yet.

TheDarkRacer 03-22-08 11:48 PM

lol too late... But i got some tokico blues on my honda(DD) and they arnt that bad... but they arnt gonna get beatin on... Ill buy some KYB AGX one day... just gotta get something to sit on the car.. Turned out all 4 of my shocks were blown.

Turbo II Rotor 03-22-08 11:56 PM

Tokico blues are good for what they are made for, daily drivers that will never see a track or spirited driving. Lifetime warrenty I believe.

TheDarkRacer 03-23-08 12:08 AM

yea im gonna be driving the accord hard when i start driving again...so ill end up blowing those and steppn my game up lol.

But I doubt that they are doing too much right now.. i got some GC coilovers with 450lbs front and 365 in the rear....

if your doing all of that other work i dont see whats another $1500 on rear end.

i dont know whats availalbe for FB's, but i remember reading up on people doing the ford rear end w/ multilink suspension. or you could do the ford rear end and try to get an aftermarket LSD for that.

worst case scenario just weld it. im sure you could buy a few spare differentials for pretty cheap too, just in case you bust one.

I'm currently running
Infini front upper strut bar
S4 NA LSD rearend w/ 200k on it(blown out)
Tokico Blues with stock springs

I drift this setup just fine. My clutch is bad so I'm stuck doing 2nd gear power over but it rips through fine. I love the Tokico blues. great genreal use strut.

As of Friday I will have
Cusco front lower strut bar
S4 TII lsd rearend
MMR solid rear diff mount
MMR delrin rear control arm bushings
MMR delrin front control arm bushings
MMR delrin DTSS replacement bushings

and maybe Hockey puck tranny mounts since I didn't order those yet and may have to fab them.

Then next week I will have Ksport Kontrol Pro's but won't have them installed in time for my next event. :(

turboefini88 05-22-08 09:55 PM

My setup:

Stance GR+ Front rebound set about half way, rears at full hard. Springs are set 2 turns of the perch past not being able to turn them by hand.
Secret Element Super Angle inner Tie rods. Stock outters for now.
Complete suspension techniques master bushing kit.
Mazdatrix DTSS eliminators.

I probably have about 1400 in my suspension right now. When next year rolls aroung, Ill be about 4 grand into suspension.

Currie enterprises Ford 9" housing, thats my suggestion. Youve already bought so much in parts, not to mention how long it has taken to put it all together...do you really want to break axles or ring gears when you use it the first time?

Besides, the ford 9" has all kinds of ring and pinion available...easy to change ratio.

Got the Ksports on and WOW. Sooooo much easier to throw the car around and hold angles without snap over steer.

I would have been waaaay better if I had these on for the drift event. Although the tokico and eibachs in the rear did a good job.
