Super Angle Kit Problems :(
This is more of a tech thing, but since all ya'all rock these I know I'll get better advice in this forum.
I have a 1990 GTU, Jspec turbo/tranny swap with N370 ecu and N350 wiring, I just finished the wiring yesterday, and it started up and ran GREAT, took it to an exhaust shop to get that built, and took it on a long drive to test it out. While the car was on jackstands for the new engine I also added a lot of other mods, one of which was the GP Sports Super Angle Kit.
So eventually during the drive of course I got bored and did a 2nd gear pull getting onto an on ramp, it accelerated great and everything seemed fine, but about 5 minutes later, I started losing fuel, I could only keep my foot on the gas like a few inches, if I tried accelerating it would bog out, and this eventually got worse and worse until I couldn't get any gas at all and got it towed off the shoulder. Fortunately this didn't happen ON the freeway, but somehow when I was on the shoulder trying to push it (i think when I turned the wheel when it wasn't moving) my gp sports tie rod end came off the driver side wheel.
Now, I had noticed while I was toe-ing out that there wasn't a TON of thread left on the tie rod, but I figured it was enough, cuz the directions say to cut a cm off of the tie rod which I did. The spacers are also installed on the inside of the tie rods too. So I am confused as to why I didn't have enough thread... Am I going to need new tie rods and not cut them this time?

everything happens for a reason dude. thankfully you're car started bogging before that **** fell off on the freeway
when you say your tierod end came off - really you mean your tierod came out of your tie rod end? or your tie rod end came off the spindle?
i'm thinking you meant the tie rod came out of the tierod end.
you have to cut a few different times, and keep measuring. you may have not had your rack perfectly centered or plain and simple just cut too much off.
theres a few things you can try:
the easiest being - get a few washers, and put them inside of the inner spacer, and then on the inner spacer to the tierod side of the threads spacing your tierod into your tie rod end (when you throw it all together)
common sense should tell you that if it only threads in 3-4 threads, it's probably not safe, so if this happens you will need to atleast get another pair of tie rods and install them and see how much you actually need to cut. most times i've only had to take off 3-4 threads from the tie rod to make them fit with ZERO toe out. although for drifting a little toe out isn't bad up front.

i'm gonna pick up some new tie rods and put em on without cutting the ends off. and no nothing was stripped... a little bit on the very last thread of each but that's it. thanks for the advice everyone and can't wait to get back in my car.
