Question for 1jz FC owners

If you don't cut out your firewall to move the engine back, what transmission/shifter extension are you using? Apparently the r154 is too short and you have to use the DriftMotion extension. I'm using a w58 from a Celica Supra, and have no clue if it'll line up with the shifter hole or not.

If you've got any experience chip in!

If you can get the tripod extension from a MKIV N/A Supra or SC300, it will fit in the stock FC shifter cut out. If not you can purchase the extension from drift motion or Lexus directly. I believe it's between $2-300 though.

Hm so the stock SC300 W58 lines up with the shifter hole just fine? Because I have a blown SC300 tranny that I can pull the tailhousing off of and put it on my early transmission.
