I love chase cams. And love the sound too ^^

The twitchy feeling can be the front dampers, try to stiffen them
(I've always done my alignment like that and never had a problem)

hey just quick question! how long does engine last on a fresh rebuild with weekly drifting! i guess im just skeptical on it since i blew my motor when first learning how to drift back in the day! the motor did have 95xxxkm on it so that could have been it!

I forgot my dampening tool at home so I couldnt do that. The front felt a little sloopy. I was also running shitty 215 45 17 up front and newer 255 35 18 in the rear. Now I got at least a baseline on what needs to be done. it could also be the stock diff...lol

I have no idea. its all in the tune and how you put it together. Any engine can blow up if not properly driven, built, tuned!!!

Naaah, stock diff is fine, you just need to take the ebrake faster when you want some long slide after a fast exit.

But when the front is bouncing you can't fight ...

yes stiffen the front or even try a stiffer spring. The apex fd ran a like a 2100 spring in front
??

If the damper is out of it's range, a stiffer spring will be worse. Otherwise, it may be easier to try to adjust the damping.

Mine is rock hard but the dampers are doing their job so there is no problem (18kg).

Im only running a 10kg spring and damping set in the middle and my front feels fine, STOCK FD DIFF SUCK HUGE DICK seriously unless ur 80% throttle that **** unlocks and thats how u wreak your ****. I'm not a huge fan of 1.5 either but maybe im a pussay. ballinnmiami diff and get the front sorted and ur **** looks ready to shredd

i leaning toward the diff and alingment. I dont think the dampening would cause my car to be so sketchy. When I was under full power the car was easy as hell to drift. Once I tried to link slow clipping point is would want to do its own ****. I know what im doing but the car is really not stable yet. Ill figure this out quick. I have access to a mazdaspeed 2-way diff I might go get.

Weird. I'm always saving with the ebrake if necessary, or using left foot braking to keep the gas, this way the rear is easy to control even with the stock diff (I'm experienced with crappy diffs and crappy suspensions, it may be the reason that I don't see the stock diff as you are ^^)
But remember, WOT means the rear gets the weight ... so maybe the front is ok, even though wot action doesn't explain anything about it.

To me, the car is swaping from left to right way too fast even if you want it to be fast. This is typically what you see from a bouncy front end drift action.
Or maybe it's not only one thing...

still miles away from completion but its exciting and refreshing when you put so much time and effort into uncertainty and it works basically as intended.
