*jaw drop*

I would have gotten out of the car in tears yelling "****! ****! FUUUUUUUUUUCK! ************!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" and then punched myself in the face.

Lol, You know you can't steer when your front wheels are locked right? Also if there is no chance of avoiding the curb straighten out the wheel and let off the brake. I'm guessing you relocated your lower control arm mounts a couple inches inward. But you looked baller doing it so who cares!

I made a bunch of driving errors when I did that. I should have been in 3rd gear, not 2nd, that was the main problem. The car snapped straight when I ran out of gear in 2nd, as I was very very high up in that gear when I initiated.

To be honest, in two years I've had almost no experience with understeer while drifting. Actually, I've basically only understeered that hard once, and it was the time in the clip. I was pretty confused on what to do, because it was a new situation for me. I tried to clutch kick to save it, which is the inverse of what you're supposed to do, but at the time my instinct was that if I could get the rear wheels spinning again I could stop the car from straightening out. I didn't intend to lock the fronts, but I was already very near the curb and still going 50-60ish, so my main thought at the time was to scrub as much speed as possible, to minimize damage.

Anyway, I'll have a new car ready for 09... should be picking up the chassis this weekend. I hope to make a few changes for next year- lower ride height, bigger, dumber wheels, more stickers, you know, performance stuff like that. Maybe a turbo this time?

yea there's way too much hard parking in this thread.. and it doesn't help that its the end of the season for most. drift events are done for 08 in the NW.

my 7 still doesn't run, ran the cressida again last weekend for final event. developed rod knock (like a good 7m) by the end of the day. then i drove my buddies s13 and amazed everyone what i can do with some torque and some steering angle. there's a reason why i call them drift-o-matics..

cut springs, welded diff, 7m w/ 10k on it, new oem clutch

200k S13 KA, Stance coils, Tomei 2-way, XTD 6puck.

corksport, rhdjapan.com

he's right though, they are gay. the only vent you need is the sexy style reverse vented hood, also made by shineautoproject.

I hope you have a really nice cage to protect you because that cut up front end won't.
