Its ok if he is talking about the event I am sure he is talking about....Well none of the real SCCA people even go to this event. There is a major lack of safety, and most people that go their are ricers with FWD that try to drift.

Turbo II Rotor 01-07-10 11:15 AM

Well let the ignorant be ignorant then. Better him than us right?

drake87 01-07-10 04:16 PM

why are you guys in the DRIFTING thread when you dont like drifting?
just curious...

Turbo II Rotor 01-07-10 04:33 PM

I hate the stereotypical drifters. It's people like you who embarrass the hell out of everyone else on here for being associated with drifting. I drift, but I'm sure as hell no "drifter".

drake87 01-07-10 04:44 PM

i dont consider myself a "drifter"
ive never even been to a compitition of any sort, i just slide around parking lots with my friends and wrench on my cars haha i think its funny how you get all hurt, im just here to learn, you havnt even said anything about "friction circle" even though ive asked haha

Turbo II Rotor 01-07-10 04:58 PM

Bro, you're on the internet. Google?

drake87 01-07-10 05:03 PM

i have already but i figured you would explain it cuz you such a nice fella, hahahaha

Turbo II Rotor 01-07-10 06:04 PM

Lol, so do you retract your previous statements?

You must still be wet behind the ears if you think I'm explaining anything to you, now enough with this horse shittery and back to helping NA drivers. Well, except you.

drake87 01-07-10 06:40 PM

i never retract anything, hahaha, but i agree, we need to get back on topic...
how are the tanabe gf210 springs? i found some for $125 and all i have is stock suspension

ckykid02 01-07-10 06:41 PM

ive heard that the tanabes are most definately the best lowering spring for fc for the price.
the teins dont even compare.

drake87 01-07-10 06:46 PM

ok cool so would these be a good buy? and also i need some suggestions on shocks, and im on kinda tight budget so keep that in mind, haha

this guy only has the rears. his fronts are coilovers.
amazing handling and ride quality.

sometimes i retract my headlights while driving.

drake87 01-07-10 07:16 PM

yeah i was thinking tokicos, i can afford some of the non-adjustables brand new, or should i wait longer and save for some others?, the ones on my car ar in good shape, but still stock haha

ckykid02 01-07-10 07:21 PM

save for coilovers. 800 bucks for brand new megans.

drake87 01-07-10 07:39 PM

well i have found a full set of adjst. illuminas for 199, fronts and rears, this would put my full set up if i can get the tanabe springs at 350, would it be worth it to get this for now, and wait to get some coilovers? i just want to get rid of my body roll haha

ckykid02 01-07-10 07:47 PM

id say do it.

drake87 01-07-10 08:04 PM

ok cool, i think i wil for sure, now i have some exhaust questions... i have a leak coming from my mannifold and want to deffinately replace that but since i have an s4, i need the backpressure tube to stay, and if im not mistaken, that comes off of the 2nd cat, would just getting headers and mufflers be a decent upgrade, and if not, what full kits will bolt up and not make me hve to fab. something to mount that back pressure piping?

nightridaz777 01-08-10 01:38 AM

idk what piping your talking about. both of my cars came without cats. photos?

Turbo II Rotor 01-08-10 01:41 AM

The S5 ran the 5/6 ports off the air pump so if you still have that you're fine.

Tatakai 01-08-10 01:22 PM

please do not waste time on springs.

if you are going to be drifting and/or driving your car at all springs are the biggest waste of time. unless your driving a luxury vehicle, then springs are ok for lowering with good ride comfort.

if you are going to drive your car hard at all, GET COILOVERS.

thank you. save for coils. springs hardley do anything at all. coilovers or stock. no in the middle

lonetlan 01-08-10 01:36 PM

Is it cheaper to piece together the parts for coilovers, or just buy coilovers?
