I'm making purchases on suspension/angle mods need advice

Finally got my tax refund.

Ok. I dont want anyone telling me an angle kit is a band aid for lack of skill.

I'm buying an angle kit. I can afford mazdatrix outers but i was wondering if i'd get decent angle using the megan racing kit. It's a heim joint jawn.

$110 shipped. Worth trying?

I'm buying the $100 shipped extended inner tie rods as soon as i remember who the **** was selling them to go along with whatever outers you guys recommend.

A question about angle kits i haven't quite found an answer for is how come adding angle this way doesn't add a rediculous amount of toe out?

I'm slamming my car down on jic flt coilovers. Super now makes castor/camber adjustable plates but some guys are drilling their towers so they can adjust camber and caster without using said plates. Should i do this or just stick with stock castor and dial out all the negative camber from being super low?

I wanted to invest in a tc sportline rear camber arm as well to dial out some of the negative camber associated with a crazy drop as well. Worth it or are there other alternatives?

That is all. Thanks.

that pic is just tie rod ends (a bump steer kit), they dont add any angle. its the inner tie rod that can increase angle. some kits come with inner rods and outer heim joints.

Thanks for clearing that up. Why do they advertise that **** as adding angle though? It doesn't make sense to me. I figured if you unthreaded the ends enough, that would be the same is having a spaced outer end and would just add toe, not angle. ******* advertising.....

I just hit up eye candy with a pm then. I've decided on the megan ends and his inners.

Care to add anything else in regards to my camber/castor alterations?

They're on the list.

I'm opting for subframe and dtss bushings first and foremost though. Need the *** stiff. What relevance does that have to my thread?

Check my thread out if you havent already. lots of info.

The way to get angle from cheapest to the illest:

1. rack spacer
2. modded inner tie rods >> pm eyecandy on here
3. modded knuckles >>> PM me, jtp, dorifto PG, twins turbo ll......ect. Lot of people make them!!!

Or you can do all three of these and get ready for awesomeness!!!!

but for reals check my thread. Tons of info.

I'm lazy and you didn't post a link?

Fail. J/k. I'll search for it.

I have a spare set of knucles. I'm going to "replicate" what's his faces kit and have the local machine shop get it done. I'm not doing this any time soon though. I dont need rediculous angle just yet. Just better than 30* stock angle and SAFE. I'd never space stock rods. There just isn't enough thread going into the rack and i dont trust it.

I'm probably going to run a washer or two on eye candy's rods. I sent him a pm already. As soon as i transfer funds into my paypal account and then to his, they'll be on their way. Megan ends were already ordered along with dtss bushings....which i am not going to have fun at all installing. Still, if i'm installing coilovers, i might as well as put the rest of this **** on before i go and get aligned.

Nobody has said squat about the rear camber arm. Is it really necessary? I know on alot of cars, when you lower the **** out of them, the front end tends to produce more negative camber than the rear, if any at all. Need more imput on this guys.

I had a lot to say but since you're just gonna copy my kit so you won't get a word of helpful info from me.

Ah, i see. I have to cup your ***** for you to cup mine.....

Fair enough. But you have to admit, it beats trying to knock off powered by max's kit.

Wait...you got yours from fc3s pro. I dont even want to hear it! Lol.

Much love though.

Not tryin to thread jack, but maybe compiling suspension builds since we are kinda on the same page..if you dont mind.

The list I've made for my build is as follows..
Owned:
Stance GR+ Pros 8k/6k

Purchasing: (pending approval by rx7club drift section)
DTSS elim
Front LCA & sway bar polyurethane bushings
MMR rear camber links (must use spherical rear LCA bearings)--the site doesn't say whether these come in pairs or each sold separately..the descriptions sound like they come in pairs, but I would like a confirmation.
MMR Spherical rear LCA bushings
Supernow tie rod ends w/bumpsteer adjustment & new inner tie rods (eyecandy)
MMR diff mount
MMR subframe mount (spacer too?)

How well do spherical bearings hold up to daily use? the car will mostly be used on tracks, but will be driven sometimes on the street. Less than 20miles per week or the occasional 150 mile round trip cruise.

Thanks,
Pete

Dtss elims are one of the first things i was told to get. +1 on that. Kill dtss before it kills you.

Can't help you on the other stuff. I'm not even at that stage nor do i feel i need any thing else at this point.

Send the money over so I can get them out to ya :P BTW adding washers to my tie rods (all make/models) will not add any benefit, you will just have to remove more toe out with the tie rod ends, and you reduce the thread engagement into the rack.

The rear camber arm (aka sublink) is typically used to remove excessive camber from lowering, you can still add camber but that not what they are designed for.... Mine will be back on the market soon, probably somewhere around $100ish

Working on it.

Deposited my return check monday, bank said their system was down. They fixed some **** from 3 months ago adding $100 to my account but my check hasn't gone through yet. Trust me, i'm eager to get them. Thanks for the heads up on trying to space them. I have your paypal written down and slapped to the side of my monitor.

The rear camber arm looks like it's up my alley then. I'll have to hold off though. You think i'd need to get re-aligned after installing it since it's not independent? I can eyeball the rear camber myself. I'm just heading out to napa right after the angle kit, dtss and coilovers are installed. I have to wait a bit until i can snag a camber arm now. A buddy offered me a decent sum of money today for those fail fwd mr7 wheels i have on my car now and i decided to kick it mid skool with some 16x8 0 offsets.
