How many tires for dday?
Hey guys I'm going to be attending the local driftday next Saturday at thunderhill. Just wondering if you guys can suggest how many tires I should bring. I'm going to be throwing my stockers back on and throwing new cheapo tires on them. How many extras should I bring? I have access to a set of vert BBS's with some tires on them, so I think I'm going to get those as well.
With about 300whp and 2min runs on a skid pad, do you guys think that'll be enough drift spares? (3 pairs effectively). Or, I can throw the verts on the front and use my stockers for the rears since they'll be brand new tires. I know it's hard to tell considering you don't know how many runs I'm getting or the skidpad conditions, but I'd just like to get an idea.
I'll basically have two full sets of wheels/tires. The TII's are going to have 225/50s on them and the verts are gonna have some 205/whatevers on them.
Whatta ya think?

I didn't see you there man!
I didn't even use up a pair of tires. Car wouldn't start for the first half of the day (fuel fouled plugs). When I finally got out there she'd get too hot. I'd hit the pad at 88C and would come back when it hit 94C (not much time at all). I think I would have been safe up to 100C but I didn't want to push it. 110F weather didn't help at all either, so a radiator is next in line.
