nice build man, i see u had a nice amount of smoke even before the standalone and tune. especially the vid from 7/8 aprox 3:04. im currently running rtek 1.5 on s5 t2 motor with welded diff, if u also have a welded dif its not wheel speed. Im wondering is it the knuckles and front mount or perhaps tire choice? any tips?

Well, up untill a few months ago ive always ran a 16" wheel. And there usually just take offs from car dealerships. Nothing in particular. 215 was prolly the biggest tire i ran unless i borrowed one of my buddys wheels. And yes, welded diff is what i run. It works but has its disadvantages. I kept tire pressure at 35psi maximum. The extra angle does help. It allows the tires to spins easier cause of the lack of traction as the car goes deeper in angle. It scrubs speed as the angle gets deeper too. Which also allow the tires to heat up faster cause the foward momentum is being slowed by the angle. Almost like a moving power brake but without the brake and your sideways haha. At least thats what i think is going on. I could be wrong though haha! And the front mount dont do much but lower AIT and raise coolant temps lol.

Got to do some driving yesterday. First event at a new venue. Just a 1/4 sized oval track. But big enough to be in 3rd if you have any sorts of power. But what really sucked was the rain... It only stayed dry for the first hour of the day. I was pretty bummed. But i made do and had good time. Until I decided to try and hit the straight stretch in one big drift. Well i made it, but picked up a lot of speed and couldn't slow down in time and it was like being on ice one you lost control...and this was the result..
Cars pretty much toast. Separated the molding that connects the shock tower to the body. Coilover looked like it was unhappy in the position. So i just called it a day. It was near the end so i didn't really miss out on a lot of driving. I'll be looking for a new shell cause im not even going to mess with this one. Until i get some time to upload more pics and vid. Here's in car footage of the wreck. Passenger was all pumped till we plowed the wall lol. We were just fine though lol.

Hey guys, been a while. Things have stared to happen here. Managed to get some more seat time in this last weekend. We've been lacking a place to drift here where i live so our local drag strip decided to help us out and let us use what little space they had to make a small course. Turned out to be a blast. A good amount of cars showed up and the sun came to play too. My friend Benny and i decided to just let loose all weekend. And we had a **** ton of fun!
I got some vid too. But haven't uploaded anything yet. But when i do. I'll post.
Then i picked up my new pro-am shell for 2015.
S4 t2 came with 50mm rear overs that are molded onto the car. I know, super gay. But, it is what it is. I'll run em till i explode them. Also came with some old Tein coilovers, crown vics, t2 diff and axles, energy bushing in the front, unknown front lip on a s5 front bumper, s5 rear bumper, unknown side skirts, s5 moldings, CS steel braided oil cooler lines, fresh rebuilt t2 trans and driveline, some brand new cheap 6 puck clutch, and some other crap. I paid $400. And already swapped trannys and clutch disks and sold my old tranny and some junk in my garage that paid for half the car lol. Gainzzz lol.
First thing to happen to the turd will be to remove sound deadening from the floor and cage it. Once it's painted i will start to disassemble my current car. So until then, tire slaying will continue!

Cage is slowly coming along. My bender guy messed up the main hoop. So i have to redo it. But I've been driving my turd still. Had a amazing time at 2bash2future. Enjoy some rotary noises.

That's crazy JDubb. Thanks for pointing that out.
Well, now that I got this new app going I guess I can update this boring *** thread. I was sick of looking at my wrecked car. So with 2 months until Bash to the Future 3, I decided i was gonna build a car. Already had some metal pre bent but was still missing a few things. A local friend and drifter re bent a main hoop for me and I started going at it. My first time building a cage or anything out of metal to be honest lol. But I didn't want to have to rely on someone else to do my work and I'm a broke ***...but with some practice I was able to get her pieces together.

I had my good friend Marc Maza fully weld all the tubing together. He did a fantastic job. I finished up the fab work with the gussets and welding the base plates. Once all the fab was done I started prepping for paint. Now I do paint houses and commercial buildings for a living. So I had a little idea of what to do.

My friend Levi let me use his shop to spray it out. Im on a major budget so I just went with a single stage GM white. Gave her a couple solid coats and called it good.
Brought her to another friends house so I could knock out a majority of the swap. I was basically swapping everything over from the wrecked shell to the new one. I have newer energy bushing on the wrecked shells subframes. I'm also using the same engine I built a few years ago, on the same slow 240hp lol

Once the engine was in and the car was rolling, I brought her home finally. I then went to work on getting all the small things buttoned up. Turned the key and she fired up. Little sigh of relief lol. Took her to my sponsor Indian Creek Auto Dismantlers and had brand new glass put in. and also said goodbye to my car that started it all for me. So many memories in this turd. It also taught me how to drive.

Only took my second run into the first corner to rip my driver fender in half.....damn tire barrier. Oh well. Got a feel for the car and got the bros together for the team tandem event. We threw down 2 solid runs and was enough to take first. Knocking out the famous Animal Style team. we won some swag from Drift Life Magazine which was pretty sweet. and a shot from TyLe.

Overall Bash was a total success. Rotary ran great as always thanks to the sweet tune by Steve Kan. I'm eventually gonna get a kit and finish off the look. The rear molded over fenders are growing on me just cause it looks so clean. I also painted the 6 wheels I have for drifting. an ms a sweet 3 wheel shot

This last weekend I went down to Thunder Hill raceway for the Golden Gate drift Pro-am/team tandem and open track day. I was there for the team tandem with my buddy Craig and his SR powered ae86. We needed 3 drivers so we found a Vancouver resident who made the trek down with his ka-t 240 and dog box 4 speed. We were all having great runs and when it came to the tandem comp we laid down a sweet run. We managed to win yet another team tandem comp as Team Epicwayz. Which is our southern Oregon based team. I'm still waiting for some photos to drop. But you can follow me on Instagram @chuck_vas or Facebook for videos and other cool ****. Only have one event left here in southern Oregon and then she will will be put on jacks stands for some upgrades. Upgrades include, turbo, seat, and new exhaust. I also will be working with Abercrombie Motorsports for the 2016 season. I know hes working hard to fill all his current orders. So hang even tighter if your waiting. I know it's prolly literally been a year for some. I'll keep this updated more now that I can use this new app. Later dudes!
