I think I'll be ready just in time. My car will take a couple events to dial in I think. A whole lot on this thing needs to be tested. I'll post up some new pics soon. I'd love to hear my V8 banging alongside your spinning rotors. That **** will be hot.

Just starting to read this thread but from the first two pages this looks like an awesome build. Almost exactly what I want to do, I feel like a V8 swapped FC is the way to go. Once I have some extra cash...

Go for the satin blue! I was sooo close painting my LS FC in that color but ended up with a green flake metallic thing. flat blue, green or red is nice!
GOod to se more people using a unbeatable engine in a great car! It makes sence =)

Just a Micro update. I fitted the body panels in front after I painted them just to triple check fitment. The car is going to be white this year. I'm not the biggest white fan but a friend talked me into it.
I also installed some lower power steering lines. I'm pretty pumped up on having power steering this year. It should be cool.

It's taken off of one of Pez's designs.
1/4 steel. The welds aren't just sitting on top either. I just added all that extra wire on top for the hell of it. It's not pretty but it is strong.

Nice! Seems like its going to be the year of the V8... my LS1 FC should be ready for its first event by the 31st (Just getting some safety stuff squared away before it will pass tech) otherwise I'll be out there with the Supercharged Rotary FC. Hope to see you out there at the first event!

^^ Nice
I installed some S-Max cans. Oil catch can and coolant reservoir. I need to do some coolant line routing for overflow and the coolant crossover.
I also routed the factory RX7 throttle cable to work, but I don't like it. It might be the throttle body, but the pedal seems like it's much harder to press down than stock.
I guess before it's ready to rumble I need to....
Make an intake system
Get drive shaft worked with new slip yoke and rear flange
Fabricate exhaust
Mount ECU
Do all the wiring
Build a firewall for the fuel system
Fluids obviously
Interior stuff like mount my seat and harnesses
I am caging the car, but probably not before the first couple events. The good news is it's already stripped and the dashboard goes in and out easily so doing a cage will only take a few days.

Awesome build man! 2xKudos!
I love the wing and that rediculous turning radius! lol
So, on the real, If you would like those Mounts made in CF. I'll be happy to have my master molder make them for you in exchange for that hella rediculous turning radius equipment!! Just PM me if you're down. you just have to send me one of the stands and the mounting bracket that goes with it. I will have my moulder whip it up in about 3-4 weeks (lol he does have regular work to do as well).
Oh yeah, Love the color and storm trooper on the hood = epic!!!
