Dude, the only way you become a better fabricator is to keep doing ****. Honestly, that diamond plate block off plate is baller compared to some **** people do.
I've been a Full-time welder/fabricator since i was 16. I went to school for it and everything. im only 23 but i have a lot of experience. Ive built industrial ovens worth over a million dollars. Ive also done bullshit welding for peanuts...
Point being, we all suck at first man. For your age, the **** you've been throwing down as well as the **** you've already accomplished. I'd be damn ******* proud homie.
(not trying to get all gay or anything.)

Did you put a dime in the OMP spot on the front cover? It fits perfect and I've been told it helps keep the gear inside from working out and possibly binding in the little gap the block off plate has. I heard this years ago when I did mine. Not sure if it has any facts behind it. I did it anyway.
The engine looks so much cleaner with all the OMP crap gone too. No more worrying about snapping those stupid plastic feed lines.
I'm using a S5 primary fuel rail because the FPD is internal and can't leak the the gay S4 version.
I ran a new wire to my starter too. **** started soooo easy afterwards. It's the stupid stock anti-theft relay system that starts going bad. Don't forget to still tag into the stock starter wiring so the ECU knows it's going to cranking fuel map. I forgot the first time and the car wouldn't kick over.
How are you hooking up/Using the racepak. Those things are sexy as hell but the price of sensors is a big turn off.

i just ran the power wire straight from the key bypassing the old signal wire. nothing just. soldered it @ key on, and everything works as normal. my fuel pump sounds dead though once i get everything back together if it's still acting up i need to check it out. i wanna get my bosch 044 plumbed and the surge tank done right now.
as for the dime thing, no i didnt. i didnt think about it. i noticed the gear sliding in/out hopefully it won't be an issue. i did hook it up with fat amounts of RTV though so hopefully it limits it from sliding up far.

Forrest has been showing me some small stuff here and there. for the most part though he's just like "yo go do this" and i'm like "oh ****, i hope i don't butcher this up" hahaha
i wanted to get on the belt sander and make the block off plate smooth, but it was super late, and everyone was like crashing out, so i just tried smoothing it with a flap disc. <- super sketchy. haha
thanks again for the props dude!

fixing the pulsation damper issue:
grabbed a hole saw the size of the bolt. looked inside of it, and saw a metal slug as i was hoping. took it out. flap disc'd it down smooth. had forrest weld it onto the FPD bolt.
prior to installing the rail i decided to blow in it, and guess what. the flow was blocked. i assumed this was a banjo bolt, but it's not. no worries. drilled through it on both sides, and drilled the center out to free it of any burrs that could break free and clog an injector. (triple checked) good as new!
Forrest was nice enough to let me use his A1000 from his 2jz FD car to get my car together.
mounted the FPR, and ran the -an line. pretty much went through everything possible on my car that was questionable/rushed, and made everything better. no more leaks. no more clutter, less parts to fail.
this week is going to be a long 6 day period filled with no sleep, blowing money, and hopefully getting my car to tech inspection...

thanks homie! ^
i have to hit up spacerat & ben @rotaryevolution, and have him tune my car since steve isn't answering. going to get a second opinion on the map because it's still breaking up, and i have no more time to waste getting the juke after paying $400 for a base map...
constant fuel pressure, new injectors, fuel pump and everything in great (new) shape. resent my 550's to RC just to be double checked again with the same results.... only thing left is tune. i wish steve would call me, and stop giving me the run around as i'd prefer him to do it only because he built it, and i've been sending him customers and i thought that we were going to be a "team" this year but i'm sick of investing into people to leave me hanging... DTA DTA DTA DTA
got a set of DEFI gauges for now. have to wire that up, and finish wiring the strobes, and modernizing my lights. i want to mount my GT wing, but idk if i have time.... i still need to firewall the tube chassis off, and add 2 up bars and gusset the rear under the taillights to help keep it solid for the grazers.
anyways here's the car in running form. no fuel leaks. pressure @ 60-65psi idle, and stays pretty steady under a little bit of load, but does rise. i need to bypass the secondary stock FPR.
still charging hard. i'm making this event if it takes everything i have

this cage is getting cut out at the end of the year if this car makes it out alive. hate those gussets. pic of the skinned doors. so much more spacious inside my car now.
almost finished with the headlight cover. just threw spot putty on it to cover up some pinholes.
fully repaired my shine auto fenders. waiting on a new set, but for now these will work.
once i sand the spot putty and get rid of the pinholes they'll be as good as new - but stronger. fully reinforced the back side of them to slam into cars.
5 days till this needs to be completed.

thanks man!
got all the body work done. everything is brand new looking again.
the fenders, and front bumper were super time consuming. i'm beat. crashing out right now, and going to wake up early and go tape off my car and spray it if the weather is nice early.
teaser of the repaired over fender. no more broken screw holes, and pin holes. horrible quality but its show car status in person. need to prime everything with high build and get this **** done!

i ended up breaking my front bn kit to align it better, and grind it more since you could kinda tell it was body worked.
i hit it with spray primer, and it looks as good as new. the bottom edge i didnt **** with due to time. i want to run an origin/dmax style front splitter in the future anyways so no biggie.

got my Defi Gauges. going to be selling them soon. i was under the impression i can change the colors of the gauges via the control link. listening to friends.... DTA
theyre the red/amber gauges. boost, oil pressure, and oil temp. i need to order a water temp gauge still. if i can trade/find the white, or blue gauges i'll be on, and keep it. or this will just give me an excuse to get a Haltech E8, or PS1000 to use my racepak dash.

i havent seen the PBM one, but idk if it were me, i'd spend $800 and get the base haltech racepak. monitors everything you need in one unit. if you want to spend a little more you can get the datalog version, or man up and by the STACK, or AIM MXL PISTA for double.
i've got $450 in these gauges alone...but retail this is close to $1k. racepak/stack unit and call it a day. but on the other hand these are pretty damn baller.

YESSS ^^ FRP dash would be sick! i wish i would've been a real man, and bought a new PS1000 now.
bad paint batch... idk what was going on, but this contributed to having to redo the chassis... noticed it after spraying the chassis, and getting fish eye/pin holes everywhere on the roof/pillars....
this is all a rushed attempt at spraying. customer work turns out way better. gotta thank my pops for spraying it for me to help the quality. more photos tomorrow after i redo the outside of the car, and and the BN Kit.
what you know about full chassis paint??

honestly dude that car is gonna be used and battled i wouldnt even worry about orange peelin or pin holes or whatever be glad its one color cause you know how it goes with fresh paint. remember the black paint when it was fresh knock on wood lol thats why i dont paint mine. that red is gonna look great. watch now ill end up painting mine haha

the pinholes are really bad... ray and ben walked by it, and immediately were like whoa wtf... it'll bug me. i know it's dumb/finnicky but i had a ton of issues with the black too. the black was definitely a battle spray job that turned nice. no primer, no sanding hardly, and didnt even get wiped down with thinner. still looked like an OEM refinish.
this Viper color is too sick. i want it looking nice before the event for a shoot im getting of my car, and then it's full battle time. always wanted that one nice shoot of my car to look back on, and see no flaws/corners cut. this point series isnt worth me missing out on having that after what happened to me last year...

word. it is kinda ironic you know who else drives a viper red car on rpf's? haha a certain person drivin local v8 s14. just saying expect the dumb people to open there mouths.

yea let them, i'm not too worried about it, i know how rad my car is going to be, and that makes me happy which is all that matters..
he stores his trailer/car at the shop. i wish him nothing but the best he worked hard to get his car the way it is. i want to be cool with everyone.
this year i'm worrying about me. i'm not letting a fight @ Irwindale hold me back from getting my license this year... with that said i'm not sacrificing tens of thousands of dollars to rush my car this time to get there.
my car is finally everything i've envisioned it. i'm pretty happy that i can say i don't owe anything to anyone for everything in my car. clean slate, fully rebuilt chassis. i made it all of last year really far with alot less. i hope i can get a little further this year with the knowledge i have, and the car/team behind me. definitely couldn't be in a better position locally.
hard work, and tons of effort, and anyone can make it happen. just gotta push through all the drama and do you.
