Funny I didn't think there was rules for how to build bash bars for your car. I think you guys have it backwards. Unless your going to test crash some cars and back it up with real data then you don't even know if your correct, or what the outcome will be.
I'll side with Zenki in the fact that you just asked for pictures, now your telling him how to build his car? That makes absolutely no sense at all. If his car stuffs a wall at 60-100mph the last thing he's going to need to worry about is if the chassis gets bent up. Cars are disposable. Humans not usually.

I didn't mean to offend anybody, I just thought (and in my opinion) that bash bars were supposed to be a little less stiff then the chassis so they get smashed and absorb instead of the chassis. I just said thats what I thought to zenki. then zenki got all rude about it because I was "telling him what to do with his car". I admittedly don't know everything about bash bars. I said that. instead of getting rude and swearing he could have a)not posted again or b) enlighten me. I appreciate his pic but not the posts he made after them. I don't like it when people think that manners and being polite don't count on the internet.

thats a bad idea...
bash bars are there to soften the blow for the rest of the car. they are meant to be disposable. building a roll cage to hang off the front of your car defeats the purpose. all that collision energy is now going to make its way to the chassis crumple zones and wreck your frame/chassis.
