Geeze the old port job is complete a$$. Your exhaust ports look good. Make sure you have your 2mm bevel on the ports. Your intake ports look alright. I just dont like the transition on intake port Looks like the air is going to hit a wall when trying to enter into the engine.. But what can i say, im no pro.

awesome. Im looking at upgrading my fuel system to a 850/1600 setup. Right now Im running a 550/1600 set up but it will be inadaquate for a high 400hp car. I havent done my searching yet, but what do you all think. whats a good set of 850's and fuel rail.

Today I was going to clean all the parts in a partd washer to start engine assembly and found both rotors to be in paper weight shape. This truely sucks because I has these rotors weighted and clearenced for 3mm apex seals during my first build. Im lucky that I had bought a spare engine from jeremy a while back and I took it apart today and the rotors are usuable.

The following pictures are damaged rotors from detonation. It could have came from unburt fuel in the combution chamber.

Front rotor:

Rear rotor:

Both rotors:

Dont know exactly when this happend, but i suspect it was after a long dyno session at PFsupercars. The car was on the dyno for a long time and after the last pull the engine changed pitch and it had low compression. Im gonna get the other two rotors I have and installed 2mm apex seals back in. I dont want to deal with 3mm apex seals again.

Now Im just waiting to hear back from RA seals on the return of my 3mm seals I ordered. I will be exchanging them for a set of 2mm super seals. I also gotta call ray at malloy to put in an order of 2mm corner seals and springs. So much to do before april 15th.

Don't know if you've seen a lot of solid motors assembled or not. A polished port isn't always the best. Yours definitely looks a HELL of a lot better than that other one. Looks like a solid build. Have who evers tuning it be a little more careful on the dyno this time. RA seals don't break, but they do bend.

Did you match the RA seals to the housings or did you just put them in straight out of the bag?

I saw that. I tried to fix it a good as I could with out damaging the housings.

G14novak
I only polished 2 of the runners and went back and sanded them down with 600. Tunning was done with ray at PFsupercars. Its not his fault because I was running inaddaquate fuel at the time of the dyno. The 2 piece RA super seals where put in straight out of the bag. This was my first motor build and I forgot to check seal clearance. They seemed to fix perfect and motor rotates like it should.

I havent posted in a while because no real progress was done. Today I was able to find sometime to work and finish the last few lose ends. Car runs pretty good. Ill be setting up a dyno seesion next week and see what it can do. I still have a few things to take care of, but hopefully it will be on the street by next week and drifting by the end of the month. Im super happy about being able to rag the shot out of this car after the tune.

The new shop driftcar:

Testing stephens BBS rs's...no I dont plan to run black wheels again.

Few other projects... NA to turbo swap MR2 and the Ls1 S14

Its taking me a long time to finish this car because customers come first. At the end of eaxh day i try to do at least one thing to the 7. Today I Got the car back on all four wheels. I used razmus spare drift wheels in the rears because we are running the same size tire and wheel specs. I used stephens BBS'eeessss on the front jus cause. Car runs and I drove it around the block. I still need a few more things to be able to get it back on the track, but its looking promising. I love the way it sounds ....brap brap brap...

My wheels came in!!! i ordered (4) 18x9.5 +12 and (2) 17x9 +12). Now I just gotta get some tires to put them on the rx7.

Playing around with colors for the official REspecGarage parts line. Hoping these knuckles can give me at least 55* of angle at full lock.

If you can figure out port timing, you can do pretty much any port job.

Dude, I'm not a huge fan of FDs, but this is sick nasty. You may need to wash your hands after you drive becauses its so dirty! ina gud way

Well car starts but smokes like a champ. I think the port job from the last guy might be the problem. I tried fixing it by smoothing out the port but he cut into the oil control ring area a little too much thus causing a smoke cloud. I have other housings at the house and the motor will be pulled out again before the debut event on sept 19th.
