Hey guys! This summer I plan on repainting the cargo area plastics in my fb. I purchased this brown spray paint (pictured below) as it looks close to the brown in my interior. I thought maybe you all could give me some pointers and advice? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks!
Don't use anything but SEM paint. Rust-oleum may actually end up flaking rather than adhering or penetrating into the plastic.
SEM makes a brown that matches fairly close to most OEM browns.
Be sure to clean the parts well with soap and water. Follow up with a prep-all (wax and grease remover)
Use a good adhesion promoter for plastics. Follow the instructions closely.
A few light coats with SEM should be enough for good coverage.
Nothing but SEM. Using it for years. Professionals use it but they buy it in a can to run through a spray gun which ends up nicer and last longer then the spray can. But spray can works very well too if prepped right.
