Plastic Crazing?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to restore this "crazing" (I'm not sure what it is actually called) in the taillight lenses and especially on the center section that is not lighted?

Lots of wet sanding and then multiple stages of cutting, buffing, and polishing.
