OK to clay bar after final rinse at Pay n' Spray?

After washing the car at the coin-op station and while the car is still wet after using the final rinse, do you guys think it should still be ok to use the clay bar before hand waxing? instructions say to use the detailing spray which is $8 vs entire car wash $6 (soap, foaming brush, rinse, final rinse). The detailer is used for "lube" but can't the filtered final rinse water be used for the same purpose?
thank you for your time.

Not likely. Dries too fast IMO, plus the detail spray lubricates much better than water. Just spend the $8 and save yourself some frustration.

Since clay was invented i have always used soapy water after the car was washed. Works ten times faster then dicking with sprays.

You want even faster and better use elastofoam block
