LiveBait,

I know I myself as a FD owner will be paying special attention to RX-8s during the DGRR. I have been thinking about getting one as a DD and look forward to checking some out and hearing what their owners have to say about them.

Steve, good to see you're making it down for DGRR. Depending on when you're leaving, we might be able to caravan down together

Steve,
I'll be glad to show you the car and the things I like most about it. I think you'll find that the 8 was designed on the basis of the 7..... I mean, the 50/50 weight is still there.....it handles like a dream....you still have the middle console w/short shifter.....and best of all, there's still that smooth revving engine that we've all grown to know and love. I use mine as a daily driver but am considering an alternative just because I want my 8 to last longer

That would make the 5, now maybe 6 with Jason. My numbers, are # of cars. I'll have a passenger shooting pics and vids that I'm not counting.

Is it April yet?

I know for sure, Myself, my wife in my 93 R1, Freddie Hebert and his wife in his 94 touring, and Jonathan with Sydney (Mark White's wife) in Mark's 93 R1. Leonard (LMC3) may be coming as well in his CYM R1, but not 100% sure.

All of us are from the New Orleans area.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but this is clearly illegal and the spot is very popular throughout many other message boards. Are we all attending this event without expecting cop trouble?

clearly illegal? This is not a road race........it's a gathering of friends to discuss and drive rotary cars.......all along a challenging road. There's absolutely nothing illegal about it unless your foot gets too heavy and you climb past the speed limit.

LOL! I wouldn't say little.. So far, I think over 100 cars will show! 100+ rotary cars going thru 15+ miles together in one single line will be a sight most will never see... I wouldn't call that a little cruise...

lol, sorry by little I was referring to the fact that it'll all be legal and everyone will follow the speed limit. I'd find it awfully hard to follow the speed limit on a road like that with an RX7 but even a cruise with RX7s would be sweet. If only it wasn't 9 hours away Few of my friends with Integras said their meet wasn't exactly a "cruise", same with the 3000GT/Stealth meet.

Me and rebecca will be their in the RX8. Maybe this year I wont spend 8 hours in the mountain looking for fontana. It's a 3-4 hour drive from where I live, but ended up turning into 8+.
