The "I broke my car on the Dragon" Thread
The clutch fork pivot stud thingy broke causing me to lose use of the clutch. Finished up the dragon stuck in second gear. Once I made it to the lake on the TN side, we dianosed the problem. Decided to stash the car at my parent's house so I had to drive 20 miles without the use of the clutch, rev matching to change gears.
This is the third time dammit, that I have broke something on the dragon. Add this to diff mount/subframe and oil cooler line.

My car overheated in Jasper,TN just west of chattanooga. Luckily a fellow caravaner's in-laws were about 10 minutes away and I parked the car there. I drove the car back and it waited until I got off the interstate to overheat again. At least I saved some gas... because last time I overheated ON the gap... BUT STILL DROVE IT HOME!!!! hopefully everyone will get their stuff fixed for next year.

apparently alternators dont like turning 5-6k for 15 minutes at a time.
thanks to paul and chad for coming to the rescue.

I have nothing to prove.
Those who were riding with me when I wore it out (Paul) know that I was kickin ***.
Remember, this is my daily, my parents won't buy me a 'reliable' car to drive for the fun of it.

Can You Here Me Now?? -- -- Good!
The open header gave me some temporary hearing loss.
I started getting a lean out mis-fire on high boost, so I had to spend the whole trip on low boost.
A new 255LPH fuel pump is on its way.
Still it was a blast.

Well, the Dragon didn't break my car put I am pretty sure it contributed to a few things:
1) Front brake pads are squeaking now
2) Oil pan leaking a little in the rear
3) Turbo is grumpy sometimes (knew that was coming)
Oh well, next day off, all will be fixed.

I just started getting a high power mis-fire running the gap.
It ran fine when I lowered the boost, & running the gap in wet conditions is safer in low boost anyway.
But, it kept getting worse for the next week.
New fuel filter - helped some, not much. New fuel pump - no help.
Then I found it - the AFM was getting erratic.
The S-AFC AIR reading plot had a notch in it.
It had given trouble last winter, but contact cleaner cleared it up.
This time it was just worn out.
For now I'm temporarely running on a 929 AFM, with the S-AFC dialed down 40%.
