We are going up on Thursday, planning to be there very early in the day... and some of our friends are going up on Wednesday. So if you are planning on going up early, our plans might work better for you.

If you are considering attending this year’s Deals Gap Rotary Rally, it is not too late. If you are and especially if you know you are coming, make sure you don’t put things off too long.
According to Fontana, as of yesterday, they had only 4 lodge rooms left, but they have 54 various cabins and two houseboats left. They may have additional lodge rooms available after April 1st, as there is another group that has reserved a block of rooms for the same weekend, and their cutoff date is the 1st.
Also, if you have not yet purchased an event T-shirt, they have all been printed, and although extras were printed, they will go on a first come, first go basis, so if you wait until you show up at the rally, you may end up with something 2 sizes too small or too large. Almost 200 shirts have been sold already, if this is any indication of the expected turnout, this is going to be a great rally.
Finally, be sure to put your name(s) on the list for the banquet on Saturday night. There are currently only 61 names on the list, so I think there are several people who either forgot or do not know that they need to sign up. If you don’t you won’t be turned away…we just need a close count so we make sure there is enough food to go around.
