Dinner at Fontana..

Cheapest I could do banquet at Fontana will be $15 per person with one meat, one side, dessert, and drink.

This is 50% more than last year!

If anyone is cool with this, I'll lock it in.... otherwise, post some ideas..

LOL! the manager did tell me that they have a new chef... who cooks parm. Chicken and bbq pork.. LOL!

I had an 15min. conversation with the manager (everyone there is NEW! at Fontana) and all she said was "quality of our food is better". So, I asked her, "I thought last years food was pretty damn good and we had 2 meats, vegetables, etc.. How did you guys improve it and less food but for more money?".. All she start to say was how they got a new pool, logdings, etc etc... all except about the food...

So, we need to come up with some other plans for dinner if people don't want to pay $15 per head.. I guess we could do some sort of cook out if people are willing to pitch in.

I'm good either way, but that does seem kind of expensive for that amount of food. I had rather go to Outback and pay $2-3 more, but of course that would be about 2hrs away. What is their to eat in that little town we ate at on Friday beside bbq and McDonalds??

True, but 2hrs+trips through the gap=mucho gas for rotaries. I hope we don't run the stations dry.

We could find out if that Wildwood Grill will be open that night. Can't promise the food will be of the fine quality that the lodge restaurant would serve for $15 a head, but then again it would probably be closer to what we paid last year. That way we don't have to worry about everyone chipping in the right amounts and trying to find a place to do it and having to leave the dragon early to come back and fire the grill up.

Clint,

would you mind checking it and see what they could offer for us for about 100 people and for about $10?? And how far is it from Fontana?? One good thing about Fontana is that they will serve alcohol and no one has to drive...

I will call and check on it. It is in the Fontana Village about 100 yards from the lodge. I will let you all know what they say.
