Am I understanding that picture correctly? Someone had a turbo rotary airboat? Seriousl, wtf is that thing?

 

Yeah, turbo 3 rotor airboat built by rotorsport..... Very sweet!

 

Yes.. and it had.. Im guessing... 6" or more in diameter exhaust.

When it would come on boost around 5500.. it sounded like a cummins turbo diesel.. there would be a turbo spooling noise, then a god awful roaring wooshing noise, and it would try to climb over the boulders in front of the wheels, and make the trailer take off like an airplane.

Seriously an amazingly badass piece.

 

I live in Florida so I've seen my share of Airboats but was having a hard time placing one in the Mountains of NC/TN lol!

I didn't photoshop those, they were just taken at a very low frame rate and unfortunately many didn't come out haha.
