Yup, I have this exhaust on my FC and it sounds beautiful. I get a lot of compliments as well, since you can see the shiney *** canister from the side! Corksport is such a great business to deal with.

hey, i got one too, it is on the way. Cant await it!
i have been looking for clips, mounted on a S5 Turbo forever.. never found some. All i find are video or soundclips mounted on a N/A rotary, and they are known to be devilish loud anyway. so i wonder how it sounds on a turbo car..

I have an S5 Turbo, and I have the full exhaust. Have had it now for a few years. I must say that it's extremely loud, wouldnt have it any other way. Only been pulled over twice so far due to the noise, not bad for having it 3 years or so!!

What kind of gains on this? Sorry to bump an old thread but no use in creating a new one. Any way to reduce the sound? I don't want "Arrest me laud" lol...

My set up is stock DP, hollowed cat, CS pre-silencer, CS cat back. to reduce the sound I built my own baffle, using the CS baffle as an example.

I used a 4" exhaust tip and welded a 2.25" x 10" tube to that and then drilled a bunch of holes in the tube. Using the holes in the stock tip for the CS baffle, I drlled some holes in the new baffle and bolted that to the stock tip. Then cut the new baffle flush with the CS tip.
My biggest concern was how loud it is at cruising speeds, It reduced the sound level to a much more acceptable level.

Cliff Notes:
Bought Corksport's tapered catback. Its great quality, sounds great and looks great. Very impressed!

Detailed review:
Background:
Just thought I'd chime in as well. I got my Corksport catback that tapers to the stock cat about 8 hours ago. I had my brother text me when it arrived, since I was at school. I drove home from school, ate dinner while the car cooled, slapped the Corksport catback on, and finished at 11:40pm. I was so excited I just had to put it on and drive it around tonight. Following is my short review in the 20 minutes I've driven the car so far.

Build Quality, Material Quality, Appearance:
The quality of this catback is outstanding. Its full stainless steel, and it just had the most beautiful shine to it. The installation was so easy because every little hook was perfectly mated for the stock RX-7 positions. Corksport clearly put a lot of effort into developing this, and it shows. The welds were amazing too. I won't even have to go to an exhaust shop to have them move the muffler up, down, left, or right because it just fit absolutely perfect. Also, I know on Corksport's website it claims that it drops 36 pounds from the stock exhaust, and when I got to pick it up it was clear that they weren't kidding. This sucker is light! One of my biggest concerns was that I didn't want my car looking like a tricked out Civic with a giant muffler. After I installed it, I checked it out and it looks really good. Its the perfect size muffler and tip.

Now for the sound quality:
- At idle, with the window down you can hear the exhaust a little. Window up, nothing.
- From 1-3,000 rpm, the car isn't bad. It really isn't! I feel confident in not getting pulled over when I'm next to a cop at those rpms.
- That being said, be careful above 3,000 rpm, because it gets loud! I love it!
- From 5,000 rpm all the way to redline, the city knows you're out driving again. This thing sounds awesome. I really can't describe the feeling of revving the car that high with this catback on it. DEFINITELY do not do it next to a police officer, because you're not just getting a ticket, you're going to jail, buddy.

Conclusion:
I've never dealt with any of Corksport's products before, but if this catback is any indication to their quality of merchandise, then I will be looking to them for everything first.

My Car:
1987 Mazda RX-7 GXL (non-turbo)
Small streetport to intake
High flow cat (generic)
And now... Corksport Power Series Catback

I'll get a video up within the month (hopefully). Thanks again Corksport.

We ordered the header and catback from Corksport for our ITS FC. Their customer service has been top notch, and they have earned my business as long as I have a mazda product. Great job!

Back on topic, I will post up my results after it is installed in a couple weeks. We will be running their header, straight 80mm catback with a racing beat presilencer (still running the 5-6 port actuators.)
