Arrow We nd new 2nd gen Troublesh sbfrm MODS 4 probs and solutions. Read here.

I have been thinking this for a few years. We need a subforum where people post exactly what WAS wrong with their car and how it was fixed.

This thread would have detailed info on the problem, relevent discoveries, trial and error mistakes and what eventually fixed the issue.

It would follow a certain format such as an intro to the car with full details of mods and whatnot and the car's condition.

In such a thread a link to the original thread would be placed by said user if there was one and 90 percent of the time there is.

This forum would have subforums such as-

Transmission-
Ignition-
Electrical-
Fuel-

That may be a good idea or just too much to begin with. Each such post by a member would have some sort of forum status. If such a person were to also go into old threads and find issues while working on their own problem and see an issue + solution then they could also get forum kudos for making such a thread based off of the info seen. There would be a way to incentivise people to do this.

There are too many times I am reading to solve an issue and I see where someone is shitting their pants and they find a solution, thank everyone and we never see the thread again. That is very valuable info versus finding that one thread versus a hundred similar ones with no solution.

What do you guys think?

Great Idea, get rid of general rotary, and add these for each generation.

How about:
Engine-
Drivetrain-
Brakes-
Electrical (body)-
Electrical (engine)-
Emissions - (we probably don't need this one. lol)

It would take less than 5 minutes to create them. The problem is nobody would use them, half the time people haven't a clue where their issue really is, and most of the time they don't even return to confirm what fixed their issue or not, they just move on once it's fixed.

well if we had such a place we could give people a chance to post in there and at least search, but I guess you are right. I was just hoping that having some form of incentive to get people to post there would help as well. I know I would so it would be helpful to others.
