Question on some new rules.
Is there a way to make everyones account have the state they are in so we done get the police after us if we forget to post the state on our thread?
Also is there not a better way to get post approved quicker?
Maybe allow direct post for people that have over a certain number of post as long as they keep them in check and if not then knock them off the direct posting where they have to get things approved before hand. I mean honestly this waiting thing sucks major! I have been a member on here for a very long time and dont know why I have to suffer from others screwing up. Just my .02 cents.
There has got to be a way to make this site better and more useful!

Normally posts are checked within 24 hours, but if it is taking longer it may be due to an abnormal amount of posts or some issue with the posts that require contact between the moderator and the poster.
How much quicker than that did you want? Are you having threads not approved within 24-48 hours?

24 to 48 hours is a bit long, especially since it used to be as soon as it would take to load. And yes I had a few go over the day mark. That person did tell me they were sorry and I was not mad or bothered by it.
I am just saying why do we all have to be punished for what others have done.
If you allowed me as well as other like me to post the old way that would also allow your mods to focus more on the problems.
I know at my station if I have a problem with a firefighter I deal with him and try not to make everyone suffer. It keeps everyone else happy.
Just my thoughts........

Well we have had these requirements for over a year, to put the location and price and description in the For Sale ads, but after 6 months of people mostly ignoring it, it seemed the only way to solve it is to put it into pre-moderation.
In all honesty, can you say that it is taking more than 24 hours for your ad to appear?

In general, it is very rare for them to take longer than 24hr unless there is some major problem (possible dealer, banned seller coming back under another name, etc.).
The only time that I have seen it maybe go more than 24hr for threads that had no problems was during one weekend. I was busy all weekend and so were the other mods, I guess. I had to clear out a bunch of threads Sunday evening..some of the threads were maybe posted Saturday morning or very late Friday night.
Posting during the week (even better if during the day), will speed things up. Weekends take longer to moderate just because there are fewer mods online. Following all rules before hitting 'Submit' will also ensure a speedy path through pre-moderation.
If your thread has been in pre-moderation for well over 24hr, just send myself or one of the other classified mods a pm or email and we'll check into it.
