The new site banner needs a proper stock 1st gen pic... not one with the Mariah Mode One widebody kit and TMIC hood scoop.

 

The FC has a kit too. As does the FD.

I feel ya though. the 1st gen doesn't really even look like a 1st gen anymore.

IMdumbassO, A stock, new looking '79, '86, and '92 or '93 would be perfect. Click on the subforum and it changes series, like 1st gen would have an FB, 2nd gen would have S5, and the 3rd gen would have '99 spec.

My eyes go straight to the hood-bumper gap on the FC.

 

Too much blue. It hurts my eyes.

I agree with Natey. Stock images would be nice. I like the blue but I'd decrease it's opacity to over the cars a bit. And the hood gap on that FC is ridiculous for sure lol

This is actually pretty good.
Maybe some work can be done around those slanted edges (specifically the left side of the FC), but not bad at'all.

 

Yeah I noticed that too. I think I just need to edit the borders on the original. I don't have photoshop, but if someone did and could upload it to it I'm sure they could smooth it out and make it look a little sharper.

 

The newly missing reply box at the bottom is more eggy than new the banner at the top for me.
I've been trying to go back to how it was yesterday for a half hour. Looks like the reply option is a bar at the bottom of the page whether we like it or not.

Seems like we're getting less and less screen for actual forum browsing with every update.

 

This is a cleaner look than the current photos. I'm all for it!

 

Thanks! I tried to use member photos for it too. So the FB, FC and FD images were all acquired from generation specific picture threads and were posted by current members. I should have written down the members that posted them too but I didn't think about it at the time

If anyone knows who they are feel free to throw their names in here too because I felt like they exemplified very simple modifications on each of their platforms and did a great job of keeping it clean and simple. There were others I tried too, but these shots were the best imho and lined up well with each other when laid out in the banner format.
