There is a high latency for receiving email alerts about subscribed notifications (thread replied to, PM's, etc.). This just seemed to happen a couple days ago and needs looked at.

Examples:

I received a PM @ 2:44AM this morning and did not receive an email notification until 3:30AM.

I also received a PM @ 11:06PM last night and did not receive an email notification until 11:47PM.

Considering how many people are on this website, a 6 hour lag time is perfectly acceptable, seems to me. Sometimes, I get no notification at all, but what do you expect for FREE?

Nonetheless, I'll direct an Admin to this thread.

 

I'll pass this on the the IB server admins, but don't expect much improvement. VBB mail functionality is notorious for being kinda flaky.
