By definition, this website's technical boards are DIY forums. In any of the tech boards, inputting the mod in question into the Search engine will bring up pages of discussion on that mod....buried in there will also be several step-by-step tutorials, some with pictures, some with red x's because they're so old. The FAQ sticky at the top of each technical board will also be loaded with links that can guide you to the right spot for information.
